STAFF TRAINING

DEFINITIONS

Training - knowledge transfer process is neatly and discipline, to gain knowledge and skills to meet current needs and demands ofthe organization.This is to achieve through other forms of learning such as courses, job training programs and mentoring / coaching or the like that contribute to individual development and organizational excellence.

Short Courses - full-time courses include study visits, seminars or workshops for a term not exceeding three calendar months, including a weekly holiday, public holidays and academic holidays.

Medium Term Courses - full-time course for a term exceeding three months but not exceeding twelve calendar months, including a weekly holiday, public holidaysandacademicholidays.

Long Term Courses - full-time course for a term exceeding twelve calendar months, including a weekly holiday, public holidays and academic holidays.

Internal courses-a course or training conducted by the Training and Competency Unit either in or out.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Head of Department / Dean
- To ensure that staff under the supervision of the training 7 days a year
- To ensure that all employees have the opportunity to attend the training programs

2. Staff
- To plan the training needs through at the year
- To follow the training of 7 days per year

3. Secretariat (Unit Training and Competence)
- To provide training to administrative staff (non-academic)
- To become the Secretariat in each training organized
