9 – 12 February 2012

• Participated the NADI Workshop on Aviation Security which held in Singapore. Representatives from CDISS were Lt. Col. Senior Fellow Ahmad Ghazali Bin Abu Hassan (Retired), Prof. Dr. Teh Yik Koon, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ariffin Omar as well as Capt. (Maritime) Zalina Sungip.

• A visit from the Joint Commander and Staff College United Arab Emirates (UAE) to UPNM.

29 June 2012

• A seminar on the “Scarborough Shoal Standoff in the South China Sea between China and the Philippines: Tentative Remarks” was organized. The honourable speaker was Research Fellow of CDISS Prof. Dr. B. A. Hamzah and was chaired by the Director of CDISS Prof. Ruhanas Harun.

13 August 2012

• Discussion between CDISS and the delegation from the National Defence Studies Institute (NDSI) of Thailand on the ASEAN security issues.

8 October 2012

• Discussion between CDISS and the delegation from CAPSTONE, USA regarding to regional security issues.

26 – 27 November 2012

• A joint seminar on the “2nd IHEDN – NDUM Bilateral Symposium on France – Malaysia: A Joint Approach Addressing Regional Challenges” was organised in Paris, France. The delegation of UPNM was led by Dato’ Jesbil Singh, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Industry Relations and Corporate Affairs) and also the Research Fellow of CDISS. The academics and speakers of CDISS were Prof. Ruhanas Harun, Prof. Dr. B. A. Hamzah, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aruna Gopinath, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radziah Abdul Rahim.
