Welcome ... and Greetings to All!

The Language Centre (LC) is the youngest academic centre in the National Defence University of Malaysia. Formerly known as the Centre for Liberal and Language Studies (CLLS), the centre was restructured to accomodate the new needs of the university. The Department of Nationhood and Civilisation was transfered to one other faculty in the university effective 1 June 2012.

The centre aims at promoting borderless knowledge and skills required by future military and civilian officers of Malaysia. The courses offered by the centre are compulsory University courses - English language courses and foreign language courses including Arabic, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Japanese and Russian. For our future expansion, more courses will be offered and they can take the form of elective courses such as critical thinking and reading, study skills, English literature and many more.

The centre would like to extend its gratitude to the staff leaving for another faculty. With this restructuring, the centre now has 29 academic staff and 5 administration staff. 2017 will see a greater expansion in terms of staffing as well as teaching facilities such as laboratories and studios. It will be a fruitful year for all, at the centre and the University.

The centre is proud to annouce the promotion of three academic staff effective 1 June 2017. They are Dr Ahmad Thamrini Fadzlin Syed Mohamed (from DG44 to DS51); Mr Mohd Amzari Mat Rani (from DG41 to DG44) and Mr Mhd Faizal Mhd Ramli (from DG41 to DG44). Congratulations to all!
