24 JANUARY 2026 | GERIK: UPNM organized the Jom Masuk Universiti Program (Gerik Parliamentary Constituency), held at Gerik Vocational College, Perak, as an initiative to open pathways to higher education for students and parents, particularly within rural communities.

 

The program was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Wira Dr. Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki, Chairman of the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), and was also attended by UPNM’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Development), Dato’ Dr. Norhasni binti Zainal Abiddin.

 

 

The organization of this program reflects UPNM’s commitment as the nation’s sole defense university in supporting the aspirations of the Malaysia Higher Education Plan (RPTM) 2026–2035, particularly the agenda to expand access to higher education, social mobility, and leadership opportunities for young people, regardless of their background.

 

Through grassroots initiatives like this, UPNM continues to act as a facilitator between national policy and the hopes of the people, ensuring that opportunities in education, defense careers, and leadership development truly reach the community.
